The Instant Always Series by Ari Wright Review
Updated: May 2, 2023
Ari Wright had her first two books published this Spring and I completely devoured them. For Always and For Ever took me on a journey I was not prepared for and left me craving for more. The series is not complete, thank goodness, giving me something to look forward to! Both reviews are below and all the way at the bottom is a quick wrap up if you are short on time!
Synopsis For Always
For Always bounces back between two POVs, Grayson and Ella. Their story starts out in 2013 while both are in college. Billionaire Grayson Stryker decides to take the subway one random afternoon and spots Ella in the corner. He is instantly mesmerized by her quirky outfit and the fact she is sitting there with a ball of yarn, knitting. After a few subway rides, the two finally connect and start to get to know each other. But Ella has a past that haunts her and she isn't quite sure if she will be able to open up completely with Grayson.
Fast Forward to 2016, the two are no longer together. They are living their own separate lives. We have no idea what happened to their relationship or why. When Stryker and Son’s build a new location right across from Ella’s job, it makes it impossible to ignore her past. Their inevitable reunion is close and the past is not going to be able to stay hidden for long. The story goes back and forth between 2013 and 2016, giving us bits and pieces of what has happened. We are able to see how Ella and Grayson fell in love, and wonder how it ever fell apart.
Review For Always
The mystery in this novel kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved Ella’s character and how vulnerable she was with Grayson. He was so patient and kind with her, loving her every way he knew how. Throughout the book I kept trying to guess what happened with Ella and Grayson. Of all of the theories that popped into my head, none of them were right. I was completely surprised by the end of this book. The spice in this book was on point and the dual POV and timeline really made this book so wonderful.
While insta-love is not my favorite trope, Ella and Grayson's instant connection and the build up of their relationship did not feel like insta-love, it felt like fate. There was a miscommunication trop embedded in the novel, but the way it was written was perfect.
Synopsis For Ever
Juliet, Marco’s (Grayson's bodyguard) cousin, was hired as one of Grayson's lawyers for Stryker and Sons. She is full of sass and has a great head on her shoulders. She has worked hard to get where she is, and is working even harder to help get her mom a green card. Her mom lives in Columbia, and because of her past, it is almost impossible to acquire a green card for her.
Graham, who we were introduced to in For Always as Grayson’s best friend, is working towards leaving his fathers business to make a name for himself. When Juliet catches him one day in the elevator of Stryker & Sons checking her out and then saying something inappropriate, she smacks him in the face. Unfortunately, he also happens to be in her first meeting that morning… and she will be working with him for the next week to create a contract for Graham
Juliet’s work is so great, that Graham ends up confiding in her as his lawyer and hiring her to help him get his new business off the ground. Their attraction is way too strong to be ignored and Juliet knows she is in trouble. But Juliet has one rule, she will only sleep with someone once. But will that be enough for Graham?
Review For Ever
The tension between Graham and Juliet is insane. I was afraid after they finally gave into their temptation I might lose interest in the story, but it just made the story even better. There were so many twists and turns throughout this novel, and just raw vulnerable passion.
Being able to keep going with Grayson and Ella’s story in the background was so nice. I appreciated still being able to see their journey and go through other struggles they might be going through.
Both of these books were great with twists and turns I did not expect along the way. These are definitely billionaire romance books you need to read! Make sure to check these books out on Kindle Unlimited or you can get your physical copy off Amazon or at Barnes & Noble!
