Hey fellow book lovers! Welcome to my blog - ChapterswithChan! I'm Chandler and I'm so glad you're here. 

 

I love reading, running, geology, and being a boy mom to my two toddlers.​ I have a Bachelor's in Ocean, Earth, and Atmospheric Science and a Master's in Educational Leadership. I taught Earth Science and Oceanography for five years before taking the leap to being on the Admin Team as a School Improvement Specialist. In 2019 my husband and I welcomed our first son into the world. I really struggled with leaving my little guy to go back to work and then, two months after returning, the pandemic hit. I worked from home the rest of the school year, which allowed me to be with my kiddo for most of his firsts. When students began to return to in-person school days in the Fall of 2020, I knew I wasn't ready to leave my son again. Thankfully, I jumped at the opportunity to teach from home part-time, which allowed me to keep one foot in the education world and one foot at home with my little one.

 

We welcomed our second boy into the world in May 2021. My postpartum recovery was much more challenging the second time around and reading became my happy place! It then morphed into something more - something bigger. It became a passion of mine! Then, with lots of encouragement from friends, I decided to start a Bookstagram in April 2022. This past year has been such an amazing experience and I have found my home within the bookish community. I have met so many amazing people who have become such a huge part of my life!

 

Quick side note - I also review books written by Indie Authors to help get them out in the world. So, if you're an Indie Author in search of a reviewer - please reach out! I'd love to help!
